I joined Orange Theory in October 2021 as an Elite member (8 classes a month). I quickly found out that this is the best routine for me to stay consistent and healthy. In December, I increased my membership status to Premiere (unlimited classes). I have been a member at other gym clubs in the past, and while they might be cheaper, I have not been this successful in a consistent workout routine for this long before. Here are my top three reasons I benefit most from Orange Theory:
You can sign up for classes in advanced on the app and when doing so have a cancellation window of eight hours before class start time to cancel without getting charged a fee. Most people want to get their money's worth so it helps hold you accountable to commit to attending the workout. I like to sign up for my classes for the full week I have ahead of me. It helps push me to go on the days I feel like skipping out and keeps me consistent.
2. Coached Workout Plan
I absolutely love that I do not have to plan my workouts myself. All you have to do is show up! The coaches take care of all the planning, timing/reps of exercises, explanations, and demonstrations. The 60 minute classes include cardio (treadmill and rowing) and weight lifting and push you to do things you would not have done on your own at the gym. For me, that is the cardio and it has been amazing to feel how much easier running on the treadmill is just by consistently showing up for class every week. They plan plenty of challenges and benchmark workouts to keep you motivated to continue your progress in your fitness journey. They do also offer a couple of full body lifting classes a week where it is 45 minutes of lifting weights without a cardio portion.
3. Any Location
When you are a member at Orange Theory that means you can attend ANY class at ANY location. I have been consistently going to two different locations weekly since one is closer to my house while the other is closer to work. This has allowed flexibility in my day to be able to choose the most convenient location based on my schedule. It has been great when traveling for work as well!
Sometimes the workouts are just flat out hard or you don't enjoy doing a certain exercise that was in the weight floor section. But even when you aren't a fan of the days workout for whatever reason that may be, you will never have to do it again! Each day has a new workout plan at Orange Theory and is not repeated.
It is always more fun to have a workout buddy and at an Orange Theory class, you are never alone! You have others going through the same workout as you and coaches there walking you through it while pushing and encouraging you! It really is a great atmosphere.
