Meet Coach Emily

Emily has been coaching at Pinnacle Gymnastics for eight years now! She was even a competitive gymnast at Pinnacle when she was younger. When she was in high school, her older sister Rachel encouraged her to apply and here she is today, a head Xcel Competitive Coach!

Q: What is your favorite part about working at Pinnacle?

A: My favorite thing about Pinnacle is that we are empowering young women and teaching them gymnastics and life skills in a fun and positive environment!

Q: Tell us the story of your proudest accomplishment at Pinnacle so far?

A: My proudest moment at Pinnacle was when I got the chance to become a team coach. I was initially asked to fill in for another team coach many years ago, and despite my initial nerves, I found it incredibly enjoyable. The following year, I began coaching team development and later assisted with a level 3 group, which was thrilling. Eventually, I advanced to the position of Xcel head coach.

Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?

A: I have a strong passion for reading and shopping. Some of my favorite books include "Me Before You," "Looking for Alaska," "Paper Towns," as well as The Hunger Games and Divergent series. I’m always open to new book recommendations, so feel free to share any you have!

Q: Do you have any hidden talents or interesting hobbies?

A: I enjoy painting and crafting, which allows me to express my creativity. Our family typically has craft days around the holidays, where we gather together to create handmade decorations.

Q: Is there anything else you'd like to share?

A: I also work part-time as a paraprofessional at Mill Valley High School, where I have been for five years. Through both of my roles working with children, I aim to uplift and positively impact all my students.
