Halloween Activities for Kids in Kansas City

Looking for some activities this Halloween that are different from your traditional trick or treating on October 31st?  Interested in some events that will be age appropriate for your kids?  Wanting something that is indoors? Check out the list below for some of the best events for your kids!

Indoor Halloween Activities for Kids in Kansas City

IKEA Trick or Treat: Friday, October 27th 4:00pm-6:00pm

Give your kids an extra opportunity to show off their costumes at this indoor trick-or-treat event. Stop at the various "treat stations" throughout the store and enjoy drinks at the restaurant.  Children 0-12 will enjoy this FREE event.  They will stop handing out candy at 6:00pm, so you may want to get there early.

 

C.H.A.S.E. Sensorium Trunk or Treat at Pinnacle Gymnastics: Saturday, October 28th 2:00pm-4:00pm

The C.H.A.S.E. Sensorium is coming to Trunk or Treat at Pinnacle Gymnastics! Sensorium is an edutainment event that teaches what it feels like to have sensory challenges. Children learn through interactive play and curriculum written by industry experts. Stations include splat balls, glow-in-the-dark tent, make your own calming ball and much more. PUZ, the mascot of C.H.A.S.E., will be there to join the fun too! For more information on C.H.A.S.E., visit www.chasekc.org.  All ages welcome for this FREE event.  

Boo-tastic Fun! at Crown Center: October 27th- October 28th

Join some other Halloween fans between noon and 4:00pm for Halloween themed shows at the front atrium.   You can watch the shows, have your picture taken with the characters, and more!  Perfect for ages 0-12 and this event is FREE.  You can sign up for text alerts for the event at this link.

Outdoor Halloween Activities for Kids in Kansas City

Boo at the Zoo: October 28th- October 29th

Skip, hop, crawl or waddle to trick or treat stations with the zooiest, gooiest treats in town. Put on your favorite costume and join the Zoo animals for a trumpeting great day of not so spooky activities.  The zoo is having their annual Boo at the Zoo event the weekend before Halloween.  Your kids will enjoy Halloween activities, games, watching animals smashing pumpkins, and so much more.  You will have to pay the zoo admission price for this event.

BMO Harris Trunk or Treat: Friday, October 27th 4:00pm-6:00pm

BMO Harris in Shawnee is hosting the 8th Annual Trunk-or-Treat Event, providing children in the community a safe and fun trick-or-treating alternative. The event will be held in the parking lot of the bank. Sponsored by over 40 Shawnee Businesses, guests are encouraged ti bring canned goods to benefit the Harvesters Community Food Network.  This is a FREE event.
